From Tacky to Lame: A Reflective Blog

My blogging style has changed from last year. When reading my older posts, I  notice that they were higher quality work. I used to add supporting details and stuck with the prompt but didn't restrict myself because I still got to point out my opinions. I really like going back and reading my blog posts because I felt like they were worth an 'A.' The only bad thing about my past blogs is that cringe worthy statement for one of my The Fault In Our Stars blogs, "I enjoy this book because it's just beautiful. It's sad and beautiful." It sounds so fake and tacky.

Now I don't stick with the prompt or it seems like I don't really try. I think that a big part of it is that I have trouble understanding what the prompt wants me to do. For example, I turned in my imagery blog later because I didn't understand what to do until I read other peoples' blogs. I'm going to make sure I try my best from now on using these tips I've provided for myself and my classmates below.

Tips On Life: A Survival Guide to Blogging

-Stop finishing a book in one blog. This causes me to not know which part to focus on.
-Have your book with you! This will help you provide textual evidence to your blog.
-Don't procrastinate! Doing your homework last minute will result in bad quality work (in most cases)
-If you don't understand the prompt, ask a classmate or the teacher. It's that simple oh my goodness.
-Balance facts and opinion. Don't go on a long rant. Don't just use boring quotes from the book. Add textual evidence but use your own opinion on things. Blogging is supposed to also be about personality. Let your personality shine through in your posts while keeping it relevant to your prompt.
