"I Am Not For Him"

i love him
but i am not for him
i'm not another person
tense and silent,
don't let this be terrible
i swear, love
i can't matter to you

In my poem, the narrator is trying to say that even though she loves the boy, she thinks that she isn't good enough for him. She says "don't let this be terrible" because since they're together, she wants it to be a healthy relationship. She's insecure about herself that she thinks he's better off with someone else despite the love she has for him. She doesn't want him to care about her because she thinks that she isn't worth being cared for.

The dark background of this poem represents sadness in her head and the teardrops represents this as well. There's a big heart to represent how much she loves him but there are broken hearts to represent that she doesn't love herself. I made the background messy because it shows the messy and jumbled up emotions she feels.

-this is not about me it's about the possible feelings that anyone can have.
